Sulfidal Colloidal Sulfur is available in both an API grade and a cosmetic grade. It is a 75% active content Sulfur in a protective Acacia Senegal Gum colloid offering potential efficacy for topical treatments for acne, rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, dandruff, pityriasis versicolor.

In Acne Treatment applications, sulfur was found in the literature to be efficacious against acne, rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, dandruff, and pityriasis versicolor. The occurrence of adverse events with its use is rare. Treatments such tretinoin, benzoyl peroxide, and salicylic acid may have negative side effects. Consumers may experience irritation, skin discomfort, and drying out of the skin.
